Are you looking for the next step in your coffee career?

At Redemption Roasters, we believe great coffee can change lives. Our mission is to reduce reoffending by training people in prison and supporting them into work on release. After a busy few months, we are looking to bring on a extra member to the team at the roastery to help fulfil the extra volume as we expand and the demand for our social impact coffee grows.

This is more than a production job — it’s your chance to get your foot in the door of a working specialty coffee roastery.

The ideal candidate isn’t just looking for a job — they’re looking to build a career in coffee. You want to grow, learn something new and get hands-on from day one, preferably with some experience in specialty coffee already. This is your opportunity to step inside a roastery, keep production flowing, support smooth production days and make sure every bag meets our standards — all with the aim of carving out a career in coffee production.

You’ll learn how a roastery really runs, develop your palate through team cuppings, and work alongside people who care about quality, craft and social impact. Every day, your work helps deliver our social mission.

The role

  • Production Assistant – Part-Time
  • Location: Roastery (North Wembley)
  • Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm
  • Part-time: 3 weekdays per week
  • Full-time: May be considered depending on the candidates experience.

You will

  • Bag, pack and prepare coffee so orders go out on time
  • Keep the roastery clean and organised, and be happy to pitch in with a broom
  • Check the small details that make a big difference, like weights, labels and counts
  • Help move stock, put things back where they belong and keep simple records up to date
  • Support the roasting team with prep and end-of-day wrap-ups
  • Help with quality checks and other tasks as needed
  • Speak up when something looks off and work with the team to solve it
  • Join team cuppings to build your coffee knowledge
  • Learn from the roasting and production team, with the aim of growing your career in specialty coffee

You are

  • Excited to build a career in specialty coffee and grow in a roastery environment
  • Preferably experienced in specialty coffee, though the right attitude and hunger to learn matter hugely
  • Friendly, calm and reliable — someone people enjoy being on shift with
  • Detail-minded, with neat labels and tidy benches mattering to you
  • Practical and happy to be on your feet, including lifting bags and boxes
  • Organised, quick to notice what needs doing and keen to help
  • Curious, open to feedback and eager to learn
  • A supportive teammate who believes in what we do
